Our Mission: To love. To pray. To serve.
Our Worship
We invite you to enjoy our sanctuary which is almost ‘monastic’ in its simplicity. Designed to be in harmony with the architectural history of New England, it is a quiet space, free of distractions.
We use the 1979 Book of Common Prayer, the Hymnal 1982 and Wonder, Love & Praise. The liturgies of St. Dunstan’s are, as Archbishop of Canterbury Thomas Cranmer instructed for the Prayer Book of 1549, read “plainly upon the book.”
Our Sunday service is at 9:30 am and our Thursday services is at 7:00 pm. (Please check our Tid-Bits newsletter for updates.)
Music is an integral part of our worship, with the singing of the ordinary and five hymns most Sundays.
There are many opportunities for service in our worship. We have a very active and competent Guild of Sacristans as well as a Guild of Lectors who read the lessons at each service.
We keep a quiet Advent and our Christmas services are at 5:30 pm on Christmas Eve and 10:00 am on Christmas Day. Lent begins with a 6:00 pm Ash Wednesday service. Holy Week is kept as it is set out in the Prayer Book, with Maundy Thursday and Good Friday Liturgies at 6:00 pm.
